Dances of Vice – Phantasmagorey 2014
** There will be some swing music played at this event, but the focus with the music is a Balkan brass band.
Fencing ghosts. Tap dancing demons. Erotic blood baths. And so much more to satisfy your dark heart’s desires.
The 6th installment of our legendary Halloween stomp is sin-spired by the notorious Heaven and Hell nightclubs of 1890s Paris: guests will be led from room to room to experience supernatural visions of Heaven and Hell within a private, four-story Victorian mansion in downtown Manhattan.
The dress code is strictly otherworldly: come dressed to dance with the demons or exalt with the angels. Forlorn seraphim, cherubim and saints will rub shoulders with winking witches, fire-breathing demons, and the living dead while incendiary performances from our sordid skeletal symphony stoke your fiendish appetites.
At the stroke of midnight, a sinfully rich dessert buffet will be served exclusively to guests of “The Devil’s Tea” (See Menu: Additional ticket required), followed by a decadent fashion show for the damned by Hell’s resident dandy, PUREVILE!
Prepare your death mask before having your funeral portrait taken in our Victorian postmortem photo booth, and leave behind an otherworldly memento mori of your one night on this immortal coil.
Angel horns and devil trombones, you are invited!

A Lindy Memory…

If you haven’t seen this video before, please check it out.  This blog is followed around the world, so please share within your local lindy scene.  This post is in tribute to a dear friend who conceived and co-choreographed/directed this flash mob and introduced me to the Lindy Hop.  If you can, please click through and watch it on YouTube, I’d like to see the view counter rise.  Thanks.
